“Studying abroad in Peru gave me the unique opportunity to explore an area outside of my comfort zone, forcing me to analyze myself and leave a more globally-minded person. For a month I was immersed in a culture staggeringly different from the one at EKU, one that felt ‘older’ and more in touch with its past. By the end of my stay I had trekked up Machu Picchu, eaten cuy (guinea pig), flew over the Nazca Lines, and had fragmented conversations with many locals.
