Transcripts & Grades

KIIS adheres to all of the applicable regulations of its Sponsoring Institution, Western Kentucky University (WKU) and utilizes WKU’s academic and accreditation standards from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

Approximately three weeks after the completion of a study abroad program, your grades will be posted on your KIIS account.

Official Transcripts are sent automatically from the WKU Registrar to the institution listed in your KIIS account at the time of your application; you do not need to take any additional steps. Please note that transcripts cannot be sent earlier than the dates listed below.

• Winter Programs: end of January
• Summer Programs: mid-August
• Semester Programs: approximately 8-10 weeks after your program completion

Your home institution (Registrar or Study Abroad office) will require additional time on its end to process your KIIS-WKU transcript once received.

KIIS does not release a transcript for any student with an outstanding KIIS balance.

If you are transferring to another institution (e.g. graduate school) after your KIIS program, you will need to contact the WKU Registrar directly to request your transcript be sent to an additional institution. You will need your WKU ID, found in your KIIS account, to complete the transcript request.
