Since its formation in 1975, KIIS has been committed to keeping its study abroad programs affordable for students. KIIS currently offers over $80,000 in student scholarships.

  • Dr. Meg & Barry Brown KIIS Summer Scholarship – $4000
  • lMy World Travel KIIS Scholarship – $4,000
  • My World Travel KIIS Scholarship – $2,000
  • Joseph C. Hess KIIS Memorial Scholarship – $1,000 
  • KIIS Diversity and Inclusion Abroad Scholarship – $1,000 (three awards of $1,000 each)
  • KIIS Program Scholarships – $500 – $750 (one per KIIS program)
  • KIIS Member Scholarships – $1,500 (per KIIS Member Institution)
  • KIIS Apply Early & Save – $100

Your generous tax-deductible donation of $10, $25, $50, $100, $1000 or more to the KIIS Scholarship Fund can provide an education abroad opportunity to students who otherwise may not be in a position financially to study abroad.

Funds received by KIIS are routed through Western Kentucky University (WKU), our long-standing Sponsor Institution. All donations made to KIIS via WKU are held exclusively in the KIIS Scholarship Fund and administered solely by KIIS. 100% of donations to the KIIS Scholarship Fund are awarded for KIIS student scholarships.

If you would like a letter from KIIS at the end of the year stating your tax exempt charitable donation amount, please provide your name and address to the KIIS office at the time of your donation.

Electronically

  1. Click here to be directed to WKU’s Secure Online Giving page.
  2. Enter your desired donation amount, contact information, applicable employer matches, special notes and any tribute information. Click “Save and Continue”.
  3. On the next page, you will be asked to provide credit card information.
  4. The WKU Foundation office will provide you with a tax exempt form with your charitable donation amount at the end of the year to the address provided during the online charitable giving process.
