La Serena
We travel to northern Chile skirting the Pacific coast to La Serena, the second oldest city founded in 1544. Here we find a city rich with colonial grandeur that survived a checkered past.
Vicuna and Elqui Valley
The road from La Serena to Vicuna takes us through the stunningly beautiful Elqui Valley. Fed by canals the valley floor is prime agricultural land growing many of the country’s fruits and the grape vines used in the making of pisco.
