Nikki Brown is an Associate Professor of History and of African American and Africana Studies at the University of Kentucky. Brown teaches courses on African American history, and for KIIS, she leads courses on American intervention in the Caribbean and the Middle East. She researches photographs of people in the African diaspora of the 20th century, particularly African Americans, Afro-Europeans, and Africans in the Middle East.
