A Complete KIIS Application Consists of the Following (due Jan. 20 for early acceptance, or by Feb. 15 regular deadline):
1. A completed online application (MyKIIS). During online app, you will be required to:
Enter relevant biographical information Upload your essay on "why you would like to study abroad" (approx. 300 words). Word or PDF only. Select whether or not you will fly on KIIS group flight (your decision is final). Read important KIIS flight info details before deciding. Select your two desired courses (you can change courses at a later date)
3. One transcript (from your current or most recent college or university). You may send it to KIIS in ONE of two ways:
Email kiis@wku.edu your unofficial transcript (access it from your online university account. No XPS or webarchive files) OR Pick up your transcript at your Registrar (official transcripts issued to student are accepted) & scan/email it to KIIS yourself
Graduate Students: KIIS requires your official undergraduate transcript (should arrive to KIIS by your chosen application date)
4. Copy of your passport photo page (email to kiis@wku.edu)
OR email KIIS a copy of your completed passport application and one photo of yourself (basic head/shoulder shot)
**Apply for new passport or passport renewal at least 2-3 months before KIIS departure. When your passport arrives, email KIIS a copy**
5. Pay your $250 application feeonline, by phone, or by mail. See KIIS Payment Info for details.
If you are not accepted into a KIIS program, KIIS will refund your $250 application fee If you withdraw your application (at any time for any reason), KIIS will not refund your $250 application fee
6. Contact your KIIS Campus Representative to complete any study abroad paperwork required by your home institution
To receive $100 discount, all the above items must arrive at the KIIS Office by January 20
