Each year, KIIS awards more than $75,000 in student scholarships, which complement education abroad funding students may receive from their home campus. See below for the variety of KIIS scholarships and other funding sources. To contribute to the KIIS Scholarship Fund, click here.

1. KIIS $4000 Summer Study Abroad - Dr. Meg & Barry Brown KIIS Summer Scholarship (excludes the Israel & Egypt, Peru, and Spain-May short-term programs). Made possible by the generous and lifelong commitment of former KIIS Austria program directors Dr. Meg and Barry Brown, this new KIIS scholarship provides one student with $4,000 towards the cost of a KIIS Summer study abroad program. The scholarship aims to provide an education abroad opportunity to a student who otherwise may not be in a position financially to study abroad. Emphasis is placed on applicants with significant financial need. To apply, students must apply to an eligible summer program and must complete the KIIS Summer $600 scholarship essay application and provide a Scholarship Financial Need Information form. Both these items are located in an online KIIS study abroad application. The Meg and Barry Brown KIIS Summer Scholarship recipient will be selected from among that pool of scholarship applicants.

2. KIIS $100 - Apply Early & Save $100
For Summer programs, submit the following by December 1 to be eligible for $100 savings and to be considered for early acceptance:
  your online KIIS application/profile
pay your $250 application deposit (refunded if you are not accepted into KIIS program)
your supporting application materials (faculty recommendation, transcript, etc.)

Note: The $100 savings will be deducted from the student's final April 15 program payment (Summer programs).
