Each year, KIIS awards more than $75,000 in student scholarships, which complement education abroad funding students may receive from their home campus. See below for the variety of KIIS scholarships and other funding sources.
Note: The $100 savings will be deducted from the student's final April 15 program payment (Summer programs).
(meaning all students are required to pay the $250 application fee and, if accepted, the March 15 $2000 program payment)
Winter programs: September 15 (apply early & save $100 deadline)
Spring Semester programs: October 1 (apply early & save $100 deadline)
Fall Semester programs: April 1 (apply early & save $100 deadline)
1. KIIS Ecuador applicants: Kentucky Ecuador Partners (KEP) offers an additional $500 scholarship to one KIIS Ecuador student.

2. As it is two weeks in length (a 3-credit program), the KIIS Spain-May program scholarship is valued at $300 (not $600).
3. $1,500 KIIS Member Scholarship
KIIS provides each full-member consortium institution with a KIIS-"Member-institution" scholarship in the amount of $1,500 to award/disburse to students on a KIIS program ($500 at affiliate-member institution). For more information, contact your KIIS Campus Representative:
4. Your College or University Study Abroad Scholarships
Many colleges and universities offer their students generous study abroad scholarships that can be applied towards a KIIS summer or semester program. These range from a few hundred dollars to over $1000.

Scholarship Success Stories
In Summer 2014, 12 KIIS students received Gilman scholarships: 1 for Barcelona (Murray State), 2 for China (Ball State),
1 for Italy (Murray State), 1 for Japan (Murray State), 1 for Salzburg (Murray State) and 6 for Tanzania (Berea, Marshall, NKU, Transylvania, and 2 at WKU)
In Summer 2013, eight KIIS students received Gilman scholarships: 1 for Austria-Bregenz (Berea), 1 for Chile (Berea),
1 for Japan (Berea), and 5 for Tanzania (Marshall, 3 NKU, WKU)
In Summer 2012, a KCTCS student from Elizabethtown received a Gilman for the Argentina program
